Flowers & Lace

Hello friends,
Hope you had a great weekend. It's been dreary, and raining here!! I need some sun! I'm a person that needs lots of light, and to get more light I hung some pretty lace curtains to the window. I didn't want a valance on top. I get so much more light this way. I love to look out at the birds while I'm washing dishes!! I know this sounds strange, but I love washing dishes!!

.   I'm just loving lace!!  I changed things up on my shelf above the
    window.

I wish you could come for tea!!

I bought the old wire basket at a yard sale. Love all that rust!!

My roses are just staring to bloom. I had to bring some In:))

I bought this tablecloth from the thrift shop, and used that to
make the curtain. I just added some lace trim.

                                           Have a great day!!

Cottage Bath Roman Shades

Hello friends,
I made some faux roman shades for the tiny cottage bath. It needed a little sprucing up!! I went to joanns fabric, and found some pretty flowery fabric that I thought would be just right!! Pretty, and cheerful.

The walls are painted sherwin-williams rhinestone. It's gray, but depending on the light sometimes It looks blue.

I think they add a nice pop of color to this space.

Have a great day!!

The Bedroom

Hello friends,
Yes, I changed the bedding again!!! My lovely daughter redecorated her guest bedroom, and gave me the duvet, and everything that goes with It. That really opened up a can of worms!! I had no Intension of changing anything In my bedroom. The more I looked at the beautiful bedding there was no stopping me. Her style has changed, and she wanted something different In her guest bedroom. Lucky me!!!

I do love It, but I have to say I had to put on my exercise equipment
to get the darn comfortor In. What a work out!!!! I don't want to do that
    again any... time... soon!

But, when It was all done It was worth It! I love the colors.

The dust ruffle was really easy to put on It's attached with velcro.

Change the bedding!! Have to change the lamps!! I bought the pair of
capodimonte lamps at an estate sale years ago. I'm loving all the color.

                                   Have a great day!!

Kitchen Shutters

Hello friends,
I've been working on another project for the kitchen. We had a town wide garage sale last weekend. It's great you can just park your car and walk from house to house. I found an old pair of shutters. Did I ever tell you how much I love old shutters!! I think they add a lot of charm to any space. I was so happy to have some nice days to take them outside and spray them. I wasn't up for painting them by hand.

I sprayed the shutters heirloom white. Some sanding and mocha glaze.
Not too much but just enough to give them a little aged look.

Now I had to figure out what kind of vignette I wanted to put together.

I think this fits just right In the kitchen. The heart of the home!!!

I love these herb plates!! I had to add them.

They sure needed some work!! What would I do without my spray
    paint:)))

I'm just pulling In my street!!! I had to take a picture of all the beautiful
    pear trees In full bloom.

                                                Have a great day!!

I Made Another Topiary

  Hello friends,
Yep, I made another topiary!! For some reason I love to make topiaries.
Burned fingers and all!! I love just sitting, and putting It together. This
time I made a big bold one. I found the perfect spot for It In the kitchen
but, you never know where It will end up.

I bought the old sap bucket at a yard sale.

It was red, and I painted It chateau grey. Then I gave It a good sanding
to get some of the red to show through. A little glaze too!

I bought the large willow ball at michaels, and then hot glued the
    Ivy on.

I filled the old sap bucket with dirt, and added some moss on top. I
wanted a little Ivy streaming down.

A little peek In the hutch!!! I mixed things up with white Ironstone,
    and milk glass.

                                       Have a great day!!
